About
Welcome to Captain Ron's Bar & Grill, a vibrant lakeside eatery nestled at 82 Aloha Ln in Sunrise Beach, MO. This lively establishment offers the perfect retreat for both land and water travelers, making it a favored stop for locals and visitors alike. With a convenient location, large docks, and excellent service from dock workers, accessing Captain Ron's is a breeze for those arriving by boat.
Walking through the doors, you're greeted by a warm atmosphere filled with the sounds of laughter and lively music. The expansive menu features an impressive selection of dishes that cater to all tastes. Many guests rave about the nachos, where every chip is generously topped, ensuring every bite is delicious. Tacos, shrimp, and pizzas also tantalize the taste buds, with the Davy Jones Pizza standing out for its unique seafood twist.
During my visit, I was particularly fond of the BLT, which turns traditional expectations on their head with the addition of succulent lobster. The salads were another pleasant surprise, bursting with freshness and beautifully presented—something that's sometimes hard to find at lakeside locales.
But it's not just the food that draws people in; the drinks are equally noteworthy. From frozen cocktails to invigorating rum runners, the skilled bartenders ensure each beverage perfectly complements your meal. It's a great place to unwind, enjoy good company, and soak in the stunning view of the lake.
Captain Ron's is also a family-friendly destination, boasting a sandy beach area for the kids, an outdoor bar, and fun activities like volleyball. One reviewer shared their delightful experience watching fireworks over the lake while enjoying the upbeat ambiance, a true testament to the restaurant’s commitment to creating memorable experiences.
As a popular hotspot, Captain Ron's can get busy, especially during peak seasons, making it advisable to plan your visit accordingly. Overall, this bar and grill offers delicious food, refreshing drinks, and an inviting atmosphere that’s difficult to resist. Don't miss the opportunity to create your own cherished memories at Captain Ron's Bar & Grill!
“ This a favorite to stop at by water or land. The docks are large and taken care of, and having dock workers is always a plus. They have a large menu with a variety of options. The nachos are a good go to as every chip is covered. Tacos, shrimp, pizzas are great as well. Bartenders are great, drinks hit the spot. They have plenty of parking, an outside beach, swimming area! ”
“ Made several trips to Captain Ron’s over the course of our Lake of the Ozarks vacation. — great music out by the bar — Volleyball is a great time. But sand a bit thin. — Food is ok. Not the best but not the worst. — Drinks are good! — Outdoor bar wait staff is amazing. — Kids enjoyed the lake swimming — Easy in and out with a boat Overall, we frequent Captain Ron’s and recommend it anytime you are in the area ”
“ We have been to Captain Ron's a few times to eat with just the hubby and I. Food and drinks were excellent! Last week our grandkids were here and we hit up Captain Ron's for 4th of July fireworks on Monday night. The 8 of us had so much fun!!! The grandkids swam in the lake and played with other lake kids. Their parents and us had a frozen cocktail and watched them play. The music was great. The people were all friendly. And the fireworks were AMAZING!!!!! In the past, we have gone to Captain Ron's for the food and beautiful view of our lake but now we will also attend special events there because it is just that good! Thanks for a great time Captain Ron! ”
“ We have been coming here since they first opened. It is a great place to visit at the lake. They have really done a nice job with the place. It is a sand beach for the family, and plenty of games and things to do. The food is typical lake food with a twist. Their BLT is Bacon, Lobster and Tomato. We like the Davy Jones Pizza which is a seafood pizza and white sauce. Their salads were a nice surprise for us. We were trying to find healthier options, and this can be trickier at the lake. The salads were good, and the way they present them is a few steps up than most places on the lake. In addition to the nice location to visit, they are big supporters of the lake including the annual Shoot Out. The worst problem is that they are fairly popular and it can be either difficult to get in or a longer wait especially during busier times. ”
“ My only complaint was it was a bit chilly on the "heated" patio but after a delicious rum runner and smoked wings and delicious pork nachos I warmed up. ”
“ It was a slow night, but a big group of us showed up little by little. The band was great, but they stopped playing at 9ish on a Friday night so the staff apologized and gave us pizza and kept the drinks filled I'll go back ”
“ If you can't find entertainment here your not trying hard enough. We arrived by boat, plenty of dock space here. Super friendly young ladies help tie you up to the dock. Indoor and covered or uncovered seating available. Indoor bar and separate outdoor tikibar. Sand volleyball court, beach, bags and swimming available. Cabins for rent also. Small gift shop inside too. Cheeseburger and fries was large and well flavored. Wife enjoyed her quesadilla as well, substantial drink menu with lots of fruity type mixed drinks. Not too busy for lunch but a good crowd service was very good. ”
“ Always love boating to Capt Ron's. My kids love the beach. We almost always sit on the beach or under the tent outside as we have kids who run around and need the beach. Food is usually great. The only time it hasn't been was when they were absolutely slammed, which is understandable. Service is always great, even when very busy. ”
